Innovation in Water and Sanitation Webinar in Collaboration with DFC

On 24 October 2024, we hosted a successful webinar in collaboration with our affiliate, DFC, focusing on Innovation in Water and Sanitation. The event, facilitated by our CEO Chris Campbell, featured an impressive lineup of speakers who shared valuable insights on the challenges and opportunities within the water sector. Tumi Tsehlo, CEO of Dynamic Fluid Control (DFC), highlighted the company’s commitment to enhancing water infrastructure in South Africa. He addressed urgent issues, such as declining drinking water quality and increased non-revenue water, urging stakeholders to embrace innovative technologies and prioritise the maintenance of existing systems. The discussions also included contributions from Lubabalo Luyaba, who spoke on the impact of community perceptions on water costs and revenue collection, and Jennifer Robertson, who emphasised the need for consulting engineers to bridge the gap between academic innovations and practical applications in the water sector.

Additionally, Danilo Garcia, President of RF Valve Inc., addressed the critical need for sustainable valve solutions in managing pressure fluctuations within water systems, showcasing the RGXII valve as an innovative answer to chronic supply issues. Together, the speakers outlined a clear call to action for fostering innovation to ensure sustainable water management amidst the challenges posed by climate change and urbanisation.
